The Boston Obesity Nutrition Research Center provides
funding for pilot and feasibility projects in the areas of obesity, nutrition
and energy expenditure. This support is intended to assist investigators
in obtaining sufficient preliminary data in order to submit a research
application to the National Institutes of Health and other funding agencies.
The Research Center also provides support for designated
conference fees for junior investigators interested in education and
training in obesity. These
funds are allocated based on need, relevance of topic to the Obesity Center,
and the investigator's development. Applicants must have plans to
present at the meeting in order to qualify.
